SES Associate members
Associate members provide valuable assistance in the running and upkeep of a unit. It’s a great way to get involved if you don’t want to be called out during the night but are willing to assist your local unit at a time that suits your schedule.
If you have good people skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute to your community, an associate membership may be ideal. You’ll be involved in a number of non-operational roles including:
- Community education
- Social media management
- Fundraising
- Equipment maintenance
- Catering during events
- Administrative support
Main roles
Some of the major roles include:
Fundraising
Fundraising is essential for WASES units to raise extra funds via their local community in order to replace certain equipment and vehicles within their unit.
Administrative support
Processing of membership applications and identification cards; and assisting with community education, public relations and operational events.
Social club/auxiliary committees
Behind any good WASES unit is always an auxiliary team, who provide catering for events, support the fundraising team and organise social events for WASES members and their families
